Thepalaces Bingo
Wayne's The Palaces Bingo Online Review
In this review I've deliberately used the word 'online' here because The Palaces is actually a chain of bingo halls that has venues in Great Yarmouth, London and Felixstowe.
If you're looking for info on these three venues, head to their other website: palacebingo.co.uk. If you're looking for info about their online bingo website, keep on reading!
Online Bingo's Best Kept Secret
The Palaces Bingo is one of those sites that has been around for a few years, but has kept itself largely under the radar. This is probably due to it not having an affiliate scheme, which means review sites (including this one) won't make any money by promoting it.
Usually when a bingo site has no affiliate scheme, the big review sites like WhichBingo wouldn't talk about it at all. But I'm not like those other sites.
Palaces Bingo is part of the Palatial Leisure Network, the only land based bingo sites to have their very own network and it’s small with just 7 sites in the group at the time of writing. Using software from Parlay the brand brings a unique feel to a market that can sometimes feel a little samey, offer some great bingo games and casino games. THE PALACE BINGO. 51 County Road 220, Knoxville, Alabama 35469, United States (205) 372-9191. Monday to Saturday: Closed. Situated at the top of the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre, our London Palace is one of the biggest bingo venues in the UK. With seating for over 2,000 patrons in an area the size of Wembley Stadium’s football pitch, you won’t be left standing or fighting for space!
Check out the video below which explains why this site is special, and why I'm recommending it despite not being officially affiliated with them.
Patrick The Bingo King
The reason I believe this site is different to the rest is probably the result of one man, Patrick Duffy. He's the MD and owner of The Palaces and he appears to take a real hands-on role in both the retail and online business.
Bingo Palace Schedule
When you sign up to The Palaces online, you get a welcome email directly from Patrick, in which he says thanks for joining and provides both his personal email address and phone number, to contact him if there are any problems.
I also encountered Patrick in the bingo chat rooms on more than one occasion, plus he has been known to do live zoom calls during the lockdowns with players. I've taken part in a few of these zoom calls and they're great. They usually take place during the evening's Session Bingo (8pm- check site for latest schedule) and in between the bingo games he does little games, such as Play Your Cards Right with the players who have joined the zoom call.
I even managed to make it all the way to the end of Play Your Cards Right once and Patrick credited me with a £5 bingo bonus.
I cannot think of any other bingo website owner that would ever engage so directly with their players than what Patrick is doing. This is why I believe his site deserves a special mention from me, and I encourage you to go and check them out.
paintings and sculptures from the Pinakothek der Moderne will have to leave the Museum and unfold in the harsh brick architecture of the Northern shell of the castle Herrenchiemsee their effect.
Evelyn Vogelyou have left the pure White Cube of the Museum, to unfold one summer in the harsh brick architecture of the Northern shell of the castle Herrenchiemsee their effect. And not only when one enters the exhibition with paintings and sculptures from the Pinakothek der Moderne, shows how much different of contemporary art outside the Museum space. Also, if the path is not the goal here, it is an integral part of this presentation, which will be experienced under the title of 'king's class' in the last summer of their fourth edition, and now in a slightly modified Form is shown. From the creators of the overall experience is not referred to, therefore, quite immodestly as the 'silver bullet'.
This has, of course, with the Shine to do full, in the years between 1878 and 1886 by king Ludwig II built a castle on the herreninsel in the Chiemsee. But with the of the state paintings collections in a new Film that will be shown in the framework of the tour, at the location where Warhol had his place. If you are missing any of these artists well, will soon be back in Munich found in the anniversary show, the ten year anniversary of the Museum Brandhorst, which opened in two weeks. The Film is now available to illustrate the close connection between the 'king's class' and the art - and culture network in Bavaria. A network that stretches from the palaces of the Wittelsbach family to the art area in Munich.
As is the case with a 'Making-Of' goes behind-the-Scenes. To see scenes from the preparation to the finished arrangement of the exhibition. Talks between the pioneers, the creators and artists of the 'king's class' does not make it clear that culture is easy, but is actively created by all, make your way to the art, and, like Bernhard Maaz, Director-General of the Bavarian state painting collections, expresses it, to leave time and space. The experience that awaits the visitor, describes Franz, Duke of Bavaria at one point: 'It will not be shown pictures, or artist, but it is shown in art.'
And these art works in the atmosphere is often excellent, opens the eyes to a new perspective on what contemporary art is capable of. But sometimes she has no Chance against the architecture to arrive. Why try to bring the small format works from the Lebanon-born artist Etel Adnan in this framework? So beautiful, each of the abstract landscapes individually with the Outside corresponds, the paintings assert themselves against the Inside of the castle, in the serial hanging completely lost.
Better the second rediscovery: paintings from the Early and late works of the Japanese artist Kazuo Shiraga unsuccessful. On a rope hanging from the ceiling, the whole body as a brush, dipped Shiraga in the fifty years, for the first time in a flood of color that he brought on screen a of war experiences, as well as calligraphy and Zen meditations are equally inspired. Action Painting, the stand of the exhibition architecture.
Nice and cool, and businesslike in contrast, the of his country man On Kawara over five decades, designed word pictures in the 'Today Series', the format like last year, in spite of their small nature a strong showing, and other than Adnan claim. Nice also the re-encounter with the cool-white 'monuments' as well as the green glowing barrier of Dan Flavin. The latter knows how to say everywhere singular, unfolds here, but a special, space-consuming irritant, the Heiner Friedrich, the Flavin, the work in 1973 has been dedicated in the Film the king is understood to pass through.
Again a class for the Installation of flying objects by Hans-Jörg Georgi is in the apse-shaped room in Herrenchiemsee: outsider art from the 'Atelier Goldstein' of the Lebenshilfe Frankfurt in the castle. Also, the fact that the graphically dense works by Günther Förg will be shown again, is beautiful, as are the metal sculptures of John Chamberlain, measure again, like dancers in a room. The cross-space of Arnulf Rainer's works solidifies on the face of the wall, sacral, and the single object but works well in the line of Sight to the next room, where the scent ends, more than four-Meter-high, honey-yellow, step-shaped floor sculptures 'Without beginning and without end' by Wolfgang Laib curls, the compete barrier with the Flavin as a crowd favorite.
Up to the year 2013, the beginning of the 'king's class'. Your end is not in sight. However, after this summer break will be in preparation for the national exhibition in Bavaria, the 2021 stops at the same place in the Northern shell of Herrenchiemsee feed.
